🔗 Share this article Former Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Patients Prosecutors have stated that a former doctor stands accused of committing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients. The Serious Charges Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021. One senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.” Scope of the Investigation The charges come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley. The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th. List of Offences Prosecutors said the forty-five sexual offences comprise: 15 counts of assault. Seventeen counts of penetrative assault. Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen. 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration. One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
